My ring

I finally got my ring back from the jeweler from getting it resized. i don't know how big Chad thought my hands were, but the ring was way too big. so here it is in all it's glory. It's not as big as my sisters, but we're still in college, so I suppose we can upgrade in a few years:




It's a princess cut with channel set princess stones and pave set round stones, and has a milgrain detail. I love it because its a combination of straight lines and symmetry but the milgrain gives it an antique-y quality. I think that one of the things that I like the most about it is that the setting is platinum and totally worth the extra money! I love the heft that it gives, it has a substantial feel to it. It also shows off the colorless diamond because platinum is so white.

I have become totally nutty about diamonds! I can't wait to pick out my wedding band.

Dress!

How cute is this dress? It's not exactly what I want, but at least it's a Vera. No sash though, ew green and ewwww sashes, those are so overdone. But I like it because it kinda looks like kate hudson's dress in Bride Wars. I went to see that with my MOH!!!!!!!! Allison this weekend. I love the pouf and the strapless.

But I better get to the gym. YoGAAAAAAAAA!

So I guess it's like the season for weddings, cuz my older sister Abbie, who's living in LA just got engaged too, on vacation in Mexico. They are getting married at the beginning of October and I'm getting married at the end of October. She knows I've always wanted a fall wedding, and I don't know why she can't change her date. She has been with Eric for like seven years, but it still annoys me. I feel like she's stealing all my ideas, too! She wants to use the same first dance song and everything, I just can't believe her. I know it's supposed to be like "engagement season" or whatever, but wtfever.

I am totally thinner than her, and I'm going to fit into my Vera Wang dress that dad promised I could get! He knows who the princess is. I have worked so hard in school, and I am his little girl.

The semester has started and I am going crazy, these classes are so tough. I thought senior year was supposed to be fun!

I'm already planning a bachlorette party weekend in Miami over spring break. Woo hoo, girlz!@

OMG I'm engaged!

So chad asked me to marry him! i guess he was planning to do it NYE, but he was so hungover from the party with his frat bros that he didn't feel up to it, so we just had a quiet dinner out. I'm so excited!

So I've started reading wedding mags and blogs obsessively. who knew there was so much out there?

I'm not sure if i'm going to blog much, i was never much for writing, lolz, but maybe i can have this to remember my engagement. i wanted a june wedding but now i'm thinking Oct!
